Payment Terms & Conditions (ECOM and MOTO Payments)
Applicable to STA International Ltd (including its trading name “STA Unify”)
These Terms & Conditions apply to all payments made to STA International Ltd, whether processed under the name STA International or STA Unify, via our online payment portals (“ECOM”), by telephone (“MOTO”), or by authorised third‑party partners using our secure API.
1. Nature of the Payment
1.1. Payments made through our websites or by telephone relate solely to the settlement of a pre‑existing debt owed to our client.
1.2. We do not sell goods or services via our online portals or by telephone.
1.3. You must provide or confirm your debt reference / our reference to ensure correct allocation of your payment.
2. Authorisation to Process Payment
2.1. By completing an online payment or providing card details by telephone, you authorise us to process the payment for the agreed amount.
2.2. All transactions are handled via our approved PCI‑compliant payment gateway.
2.3. STA International Ltd does not store full card details; only a masked audit record is retained where required.
3. Accuracy of Payment Amount
3.1. The amount charged will be the value you enter online or verbally agree during a telephone payment.
3.2. If you dispute the balance or account status, you must contact us before making payment.
4. Refunds and Errors
4.1. Refunds are only issued in cases of:
– payments made in error,
– overpayments, or
– misallocation of funds.
4.2. Refunds will be returned only to the original payment method.
4.3. Refund timelines may vary depending on your card issuer.
5. Disputes and Chargebacks
5.1. Queries or disputes regarding the underlying debt must be raised directly with STA International Ltd.
5.2. Chargebacks should not be used as a method to dispute a legitimate debt.
5.3. Unwarranted chargebacks may delay account resolution and may lead to further recovery action.
6. Data Protection and Privacy
6.1. Personal data submitted during any payment process is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation, including UK GDPR.
6.2. Card details are transmitted securely to our payment gateway and are never stored in plain text.
6.3. Telephone calls may be recorded for regulatory, training, and security purposes.
7. Third‑Party Agents and API Payments
7.1. STA International Ltd may authorise trusted third‑party partners to take payments on our behalf using our secure API.
7.2. All such payments remain fully governed by these Terms & Conditions.
7.3. Third‑party agents do not retain or store card data.
8. Receipts and Confirmation
8.1. Receipts are issued online or can be provided verbally or electronically upon request.
8.2. A payment receipt confirms only that the transaction was processed. It does not constitute formal settlement documentation unless expressly stated.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1. STA International Ltd is not responsible for losses arising from:
– incorrect information provided by you,
– your card issuer declining the transaction,
– interruptions to payment processing systems.
9.2. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any matters arising in relation to payments will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
