International B2B debt recovery

Collected from 136 countries in the last year Collected 83% of all recovered debts from the UK Saving you the cost and time of using overseas agents

Trust STA with your International ledger to overcome language problems and save time

We collected debts from 136 different countries in the past year, with 83% of all recoveries coming directly from our efforts in Maidstone. Supporting us is the European Collectors Association (ECA), where STA is the sole UK member, providing tried and tested cover across Europe; in the rest of the world, our appointed agents offer expert cover. In addition, by collecting three-in-four international debts ourselves, you save the time and additional cost of transferring the account to our overseas agents.

Minimising queries and reducing costs
Wherever possible, we check your debtor’s financial strength to give our collector an informed negotiation position. This advantage quickly deflects from the most prolific non-payment excuse, namely poor cash flow, moving us onto admission of debt and a commitment to pay. Should the debtor raise any query or dispute, we refer these to you only if we cannot resolve the matter ourselves. Should payment remain outstanding after sixty days, we recommend the next course of action that may include transfer to overseas agent action, although this is more the exception than the rule.
Collaborative not combative
Keeping you in the loop
Our online portal, Your Debts Online (YDO), keeps you informed of our efforts on your behalf, lets you instruct and inform us in real-time, and contains your invoices and statements, with your collected funds remitted weekly by BACS.
See our Your Debts Online User Guide for more information

“..In a recent French case, we were doubtful STA could succeed when, in fact, in 90 days, we received the £45,000 outstanding, and STA recovered 50% of their costs as well. This success is just another example of why we have such confidence in using STA and building strong relationships.”

No Collection, No Commission

15%

For multiple debts, and single debts over £50,000, a lower rate of commission applies
We automatically add Late Payment Act costs and interest, or your contractual terms, to your debtor’s invoice(s). When your debtor pays the costs and interest, we remit it in full and invoice you for our commission, leaving you with your principal sum and the interest. If they pay your contractual term charges, we remit it in full and invoice you for our commission charge. Conversely, we invoice you for our commission if your debtor fails to pay the costs and interest or contractual term charges.
