In addition, STA is the market leader in student debt collection, partnering 150 universities and colleges, for whom we also trace absconded students.
Headquartered in Maidstone, we have our consumer contact centre in Glasgow, our specialist legal partners in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and 80 agents worldwide, ensuring our end-to-end credit management solution.

1955
Founded in New York as Stanley Tulchin Associates trading as STA International, later adding offices throughout the US, Mexico and UK
1994
Opened UK based subsidiary STA International Limited, trading as STA International from Maidstone
2001
Acquired Graydon UKs debt collection business in exchange for small shareholding, trading as STA Graydon
2012
Exercised buy-back option of Graydon UKs shares, trading as STA International
2019
Opened Glasgow contact centre for student/ consumer debt collection, commercial debt collection remaining at Maidstone
2021
Management buy-out from Tulchin family owners by four UK managers, each with 20 years plus service to STA International
2023
Launched STA Legal, bringing all legal services under the STA Group umbrella
