Debt recovery for manufacturing

Debt recovery that understands manufacturing cash flow

Raw materials and labour paid upfront, customer invoices on 30–60 day terms — we know the structural squeeze manufacturers work under, and we recover what you're owed without risking the relationship.

You're funding your customers' working capital.

30-60 days
The gap is built in

between paying for materials, components and labour and being paid for the finished order.

Few accounts
Large customers hold the power

carry most of the order book, so enforcing agreed terms is commercially difficult and you become an unpaid credit line.

60 days
The proposed payment cap

A proposed ceiling on payment terms for large businesses, ending 90 and 120-day terms imposed down the supply chain.

We know a real dispute from a delay tactic

We speak the language

Purchase orders, framework agreements, tooling and mould costs, raw material surcharges, retention of title, batch and quality disputes — not generic B2B debt.

Quality claims assessed properly

A specification or batch claim gets read on the contract and the evidence, rather than being treated the same as a straightforward non-payer.

Legal support from day one

STA Legal, our sister firm of solicitors, can escalate the moment a case needs it, without a panel firm reading the file cold.

Fast, because the gap compounds

Average recovery in 3–4 weeks — which matters when you are already funding the wait out of your own working capital.

Five steps, the same on every manufacturing case.

You always know where the file sits and what happens next.

Questions manufacturing clients ask us

What does "No Collection, No Commission" mean?

If we don't recover anything, you pay nothing. No placement fees, no upfront costs, no hourly billing: our commission is a percentage of what we bring in, so our incentive matches yours from day one. If you decide to take a case to court, STA Legal agrees its costs with you in writing before anything is issued.

Will chasing payment risk our relationship with a large OEM customer we depend on?

It shouldn't. We contact the customer as your representative, professionally and on the contract terms, and most cases settle without a cross word. Companies owe money, but people pay bills, and we work with that rather than against it.

What if the customer is disputing a quality or specification issue rather than simply not paying?

We still act, and we assess the dispute properly first. A genuine spec or batch claim needs resolving on the contract and the evidence, and we will tell you if that is what you are facing. A claim raised late to buy time is a different matter, and we deal with those every week.

Do you handle retention-of-title claims when a customer becomes insolvent?

Yes, and speed decides the outcome. Whether a retention-of-title clause holds depends on your terms, how the goods were identified and what the administrator finds on site — which is why we assess solvency at the outset rather than after the event.

Can you help recover debts from an overseas distributor or customer?

That is where our network earns its keep. We recover internationally with local-language contact and local legal escalation where needed, and remit what we collect back to you in sterling.
