Unpaid invoices from UK businesses, recovered.
Place a debt today and we start work within 24 hours. You pay 10% of what we recover and nothing if we don't, and for UK business debts, our costs and late payment interest can usually be claimed from the debtor.
Why it works
Solvency check first
Every debt is checked when it's placed, so you know early whether recovery is realistic before effort goes in.
Statutory interest and compensation
Under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, business debts carry interest at 8% over the Bank of England base rate, plus fixed compensation of £40, £70 or £100 per invoice depending on its size. We add these to the claim.
Contact that gets answered
Our Glasgow-based team calls, emails and writes from 9am to 5pm. Most debts are settled at this stage, without legal action.
Legal if it's needed
If a debtor won't pay, STA Legal, our sister firm of solicitors, can issue a claim and enforce a judgment. Costs are agreed with you in writing first.

Common questions
What does "No Collection, No Commission" mean?
If we don't recover anything, you pay nothing. No placement fees, no upfront costs, no hourly billing: our commission is a percentage of what we bring in, so our incentive matches yours from day one. If you decide to take a case to court, STA Legal agrees its costs with you in writing before anything is issued.
Will chasing payment damage my relationship with the customer?
It shouldn't. We contact your customer as your representative, firmly and professionally, and we follow the Credit Services Association Code of Practice. Tell us if you want to keep trading with them and we'll adjust our approach. Most cases settle without a cross word, and you're kept informed at every stage.
Can I claim interest on a late invoice?
Yes, if you and your customer are both businesses. Under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 you can claim interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate (11.75% on debts that fall overdue from 1 July to 31 December 2026), plus fixed compensation of £40, £70 or £100 depending on the size of the invoice, unless your contract sets its own substantial remedy. We add both to the debtor's balance when we chase. Work out the figure with our late payment interest calculator, or get a quote to see the interest, our fee and what you'd receive.
How old can a debt be?
In England, Wales and Northern Ireland you generally have six years from when payment fell due to start court action. In Scotland most commercial debts prescribe after five years, which extinguishes the debt altogether. A written acknowledgement or part payment before then restarts the clock. The older a debt gets, the fewer the options, so place it early and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth pursuing.
How do I receive what you recover?
Recovered money is sent to you weekly by BACS, and you can track every case live in Your Debts Online.
