The challenge

The situation

A UK IT services provider was owed £193,697 by a business process outsourcing company.

What we did

What happened

After we warned that a statutory demand would follow, the customer asked to pay in four equal monthly instalments. Our client agreed. The first instalment only arrived after another warning, and the second never came.

The plan was cancelled, the full balance became due, and the client instructed legal action. STA Legal gathered the purchase orders and terms, prepared a statutory demand and sent it for service.

The outcome

The result

Three weeks later, the customer paid the full remaining balance of £162,994 in one payment. Together with the first instalment, that came to £215,916, including £22,219 in interest and costs.
